Ninyo & Moore provided geotechnical, special inspection, and materials testing services for the new Henderson Events Center. The project involved the construction of a new, 190,000 square foot, 6,000-seat facility to replace the 6,500-seat Henderson Pavilion. The Events Center was constructed on a 14-acre parcel and features an Event Level, Lower Bowl, Concourse, Upper Bowl/Party Deck, and Press Level. The Event Level will support ice hockey, basketball, concerts, other special events, and was enclosed by a high-volume roof. The project also included the demolition of an outdoor amphitheater (Henderson Pavilion). Due to the two subterranean levels, the project included significant grading activities such as cuts/fills up to approximately 30 feet deep.
