Construction Inspection & Testing: Earthwork Observation & Testing

Ninyo & Moore has provided geotechnical observation and testing services for millions of cubic yards of earthwork since our inception in 1986. Our field compaction testing services are provided by experienced soil technicians working under the supervision of licensed professional engineers. In addition to providing compaction services, our field staff also provide material compliance sampling and testing.

Our earthwork observation and testing services include:

  • In-place field density testing to evaluate relative compaction of:
    • Fill soils
    • Wall and trench backfill
    • Foundation and pavement subgrade
  • Borrow site evaluations
  • Materials conformance laboratory testing
  • Source sampling and testing
  • Laboratory and field maximum density and optimum moisture testing
